Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI)
Development Opportunities Along the Florida Corridor
Issue Date: Rolling

Submission Email: info@buildbatonrouge.org
Overview
Build East Baton Rouge (Build EBR) invites qualified developers, builders, and partners to submit Expressions of Interest for development opportunities along the Florida Boulevard corridor, one of Baton Rouge’s most critical reinvestment areas.
Through this rolling RFEI, Build EBR seeks to identify partners interested in acquiring, leasing, or collaborating on priority sites owned or controlled by Build EBR and its public-sector partners. Proposals may include commercial, residential, or mixed-use development that aligns with community priorities and supports equitable economic growth.
Opportunities Include
- Redevelopment of Build EBR-owned or land-banked sites along Florida Boulevard
- Joint ventures or site control partnerships with BBR
- Adaptive reuse of existing structures
- Infill housing, commercial, or civic-oriented development
Sites range in size, zoning, and readiness. Some are move-in ready while others may require entitlement, site prep, or further planning.

Why Florida Boulevard?
Florida Boulevard is a key connector between downtown Baton Rouge and eastern neighborhoods. As a major commercial artery with proximity to transit, healthcare, education, and workforce centers, it presents significant opportunity for inclusive growth. Build EBR has supported multiple planning efforts and has significant market analysis to help solicit funding for capital stacks.
