Types of Properties You'll See On the Map

Properties BBR owns that are in use or available for development

Parcels currently owned by Build Baton Rouge. Some are already leased or in use (Electric Depot, for example); others may be available for future development, lease, or sale. These properties may also have title issues.

Properties with Delinquent Taxes that BBR has on Hold for Future Acquisition

These properties are still officially owned by others but BBR has placed a hold and has first right of refusal to acquire them. Reach out if you’re interested in collaborating on development.

Properties with Delinquent Taxes that BBR Could Place a Hold on for Future Acqusition

Properties that BBR could acquire by placing a hold for future redevelopment. These parcels may be available at appraised value, but could involve legal/title clearing as part of the process.
