Partnership Opportunities

Build East Baton Rouge (Build EBR) issues Rolling Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as ongoing invitations for developers, investors, and community partners to collaborate on redevelopment projects within key corridors. Unlike regular RFPs with fixed deadlines, Rolling RFPs remain open year-round, allowing interested partners to submit proposals at any time. Projects must align with Build EBR’s adopted master plans for each corridor — such as Imagine Plank Road and the Florida Corridor Master Plan — and demonstrate community benefit, financial feasibility, and consistency with the corridor’s long-term vision.

Rolling RFPs are designed to keep the door open for creative, mission-aligned partnerships that advance equitable redevelopment in Baton Rouge’s priority areas.

Florida Corridor Rolling RFEI

Build Baton Rouge and the Cortana Corridor Economic Development District have released a rolling RFEI to attract proposals for housing, retail, and community projects along Florida Boulevard. The effort builds on major investments like Amazon, Rouses, Aldi, and BRT infrastructure, and invites developers to align with the 2024 Florida Corridor Plan. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with select proposals advancing to future RFPs or negotiations.

Plank & Scenic Rolling RFP

Build EBR has released a rolling Request for Proposals to attract developers for transformative projects along Plank Road and Scenic Highway. The RFP calls for housing, mixed-use, and community facilities aligned with the Imagine Plank Road and Scotlandville Community Plans, leveraging investments like Bus Rapid Transit and BREC’s greenway. Proposals will be evaluated on impact, feasibility, and alignment with neighborhood goals.
