Overview

Build East Baton Rouge (Build EBR) is seeking proposals from qualified accounting firms to provide Financial and Accounting Services to support the agency’s day-to-day operations, compliance, and reporting.

As the parish’s official redevelopment authority, Build EBR manages a complex portfolio of projects and funding sources. The selected firm will serve as Build EBR’s financial partner—essentially acting as the organization’s CFO—to ensure sound financial management, transparency, and timely reporting for both the Build EBR and Cortana Corridor Economic Development District (CCEDD) Boards.

Scope of Work

Services will include:

  • Managing daily accounting and fund balance reporting.
  • Preparing monthly financial statements for Build EBR and bi-monthly reports for CCEDD.
  • Tracking expenditures across multiple grants, programs, and real estate transactions.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and annual audit preparation.
  • Advising Build EBR leadership on cash flow, policy improvements, and internal controls.
  • Coordinating with Build EBR’s legal and audit vendors to ensure compliance across operations.

Firms should demonstrate experience with governmental or nonprofit fund accounting, familiarity with HUD and federal grant management under 2 CFR 200, and strong communication skills.
